GoPro Timelaps

For promoting the new restaurant of the EcoLodge, Dave was thinking about a timelaps video with a GoPro camera of the deconstruction of the old restaurant and construction of the new restaurant.
We found a nice place for the camera on a tree and as the apes climb on the trees and jump from one to another, the GoPro needed a “monkey-save case”. And as ants and other insects like to go to warm, dry places, the case needs to be insect-save too. We bought a plexiglass for the front and recycled the rest of the material from the EcoLodge. Since we wanted to have an UPS, and the local grid (called PLN) falls out almost once a day for several hours, we were thinking about the already existing solar power plant: The GoPro consumes almost no energy (2.1W) and with a car USB-adaptor, we can go off-grid for 30 SFR.

Batteries. Since there are 4 in series, we change the connection back and forth every 2 weeks (charge equalization)
